But since that is not the reality ...
this is what - 25 c is looks like. Scary isn't it.
My failed attempt to get them to play without me ...
I didn't bring a "throwing thing" to the park, and since they can't self entertain when I unclip the leash (unless we are in the coulees) ... I took off my mitt to throw for them ... the things we do (i wish i would have thought that through - it was a little wet and cold afterwards ...)
My last thought from the deep freeze ...
there is not a whole lot cuter than dogs in winter boots ...
we lasted about 45 minutes yesterday ... today, round 2.
*NOTE: jane maxes out at -15, and with her shaved belly, YIKES. SO she got to go for 2 car rides which included, a visit to the vet (for a weigh in - make sure she is maintaining her weight, and not losing more), going to grammys house and driving her uncle to school, taking her dad to work and picking him up at 5. She thought that was awesome.

What are your doggie boots of choice? Muttluks?
Haa, and here I am cancelling class because it is 20 degrees...it is all perspective.
omg and here I was worried about taking the dogs to the river this morning when it was 12 degrees. Wait...your temp scale is Celsius right? We are Fahrenheit - so our 12 degrees would be your -11.
Yikes...it is mo-fo COLD there.
haha awesome....
Any tips on keeping dog booties on? I just bought some.
I'm also wondering what your doggie boots of choice are! I'm about to buy some online and can't decide.
Kaleb has a pair that I got from the Pet Store I can't recall the brand, they were the cheaper ones - and they velco up like Muttluks, BUT they have worked great over 3 seasons. They do get a little wet, but I found the sizing to be really good for him.
Gyp has Muttluks, I really like them, they stay dry, they have the added sock which helps them stay on.
It think the trick is to take your dog to try them on if you can, as they all fit differently, there are SOOO many kinds, and dogs have such different shapes.
Also when I first started using them I would never tighten them enough and they would fall off, now that I tighten them they never come off, even in snow drifts, and make sure their foot is all the way to the bottom of the boot snuggly.
hope that helps :)
yes, dogs in boots are undeniably cute!
