You are free, Bird.

It still doesn't seem real that he's gone. We hoped we'd have more time, but Lymphoma has a mind of it's own. We miss him so much it hurts and our house is so damn quiet. We love you K-man, you were our Iron-dog.

Oh my. There are just no words. My hearts aches for you. I got a wonderful 2 weeks with my girl after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. You always hope for longer, but sometimes things are just out of our hands. May the wonderful memories he left you with help ease some of the pain. Rest in peace Kaleb.

Gosh, hugs. So many hugs. You are strong and brilliant and amazingly brave to go on a journey with a dog. And how lucky you both are to have had each other in this life... two incredibly open souls.

Wishing you peace.

Devastating news, Sarah, I am so sorry. What an amazing dog you have shared your life with. There are no words to make this easier - but hang on to the memories of all the good times. Keep him in your heart and he will never be far away. Run free sweet boy, you were loved and admired by so many.

I dont know you but i read you blog my heart and prayers are with you... i have loved and lost two dogs to old age and disease... know that we share your pain even though we have never met and that when our time is over you will see each of those dear souls welcome you into the after life! I have allways said dogs are as close a representation of God's love as we will know on earth. A lovely tribute and example of a life well lived... may your heart heal and be open to more of these precious souls in the future...

I'm so sorry Sarah! What a great life he had. He never stopped kissing, wagging or having a good time. If we could all be so lucky.

So sorry Sarah. I only met Kaleb a few times in person but feel like I knew a bit about him from reading your blog and Facebook and following what a wonderful life he had. These times are so hard. Treasure the memories. I will miss those crazy faces and slobbery tongue pictures, but look forward to reading and watching more about your new addition. He reminds me a bit of Zack as a pup - just white:)

I am so sorry for your loss. Over the last couple of years I've been a frequent visitor to your blog and manymuddypaws. I've greatly enjoyed your posts about your terrific dogs and understand how much it hurts when we lose them. Reading the posts it's easy to see how much Kaleb was loved and will be missed by those who have known him.

I never even met Kaleb but I always read your blog and laughed with your entries describing his temperament and clear zest for life. Now I will mourn along with I'm sure countless others who have read the blog, been inspired by his pictures and loved the dog that he was. RIP.

So sorry for your loss. All of us who knew K-man are hurting for you and your family. He truly was a great dog, and always made me laugh, especially when he was being obnoxious. A word from you, and he would stop, but he would be unrepentant. :)
He may be gone, Sarah, but he will not be forgotten.
